Aprilia Boosts Warranty for RS 457 and Tuono 457 Amid Engine Concerns!

In response to recent reports of engine troubles in its entry-level RS 457, Aprilia has enhanced the warranty on both the RS 457 and Tuono 457 motorcycles in India. The new warranty now covers 4 years or 48,000 km-up from the previous 3 years or 36,000 km-at no extra cost, aiming to reassure buyers.

The upgraded warranty is transferable and protects against manufacturing or assembly defects. It also includes labor charges and replacement of faulty parts, giving new customers an added year or 12,000 km of peace of mind.

Addressing the engine concerns, Aprilia clarified that, “We have meticulously investigated every single of the handful instances brought to our attention regarding alleged issues. A majority of these “issues” are attributed to only two factors - Unauthorized Aftermarket Modifications and Irregular Service Schedules. For the few genuine cases that arose, we promptly addressed and resolved them in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to our customers.”

Launched in December 2023, the RS 457 features a 457cc parallel-twin engine and is priced at Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Its streetfighter sibling, the Tuono 457, was introduced earlier this year at Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This warranty boost reinforces Aprilia’s commitment to quality and customer confidence.
