The Aprilia SR 175 has been awarded Scooter of the Year at the Auto9 Awards 2026, organised by the TV9 Network. The award was presented by Ajay Tamta, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, during the ceremony.

The Aprilia SR 175 was launched in India on July 16, 2025, replacing the popular SR 160. With a bigger engine, updated technology, and refreshed styling, the SR 175 has strengthened Aprilia’s position in the sporty scooter segment. The scooter is available in two variants, with prices starting at around ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom)

Strong performance upgrade

The Aprilia SR 175 is powered by a 174.7cc air-cooled BS6 engine that produces 13.08 bhp of power and 14.14 Nm of torque, offering noticeably better performance than its predecessor. It comes equipped with a front disc brake and rear drum brake, along with ABS for improved safety and braking confidence.

Positioned as a sporty scooter, the SR 175 competes directly with models like the Yamaha Aerox 155

, targeting riders who prefer performance-focused two-wheelers.

Sporty design with fresh touches

In terms of design, the SR 175 retains the aggressive styling of the SR 160. While the overall shape remains familiar, Aprilia has introduced new colour schemes and graphics to keep the scooter visually appealing. It is offered in two colour options: Matte Prismatic Dark

and Glossy Tech White, both of which enhance its sporty character.

New features and technology

One of the biggest upgrades on the Aprilia SR 175 is the addition of a 5.5-inch full-colour TFT display, replacing the earlier LCD unit. This screen is similar to the one seen on Aprilia’s 457 twins and supports Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include all-LED lighting

and a USB charging port, adding convenience for everyday use.
