The facelifted Kushaq is expected to draw design inspiration from Skoda’s newer models. The front fascia could feature a redesigned grille, updated headlights and a larger fog lamp housing. Reports also suggest the addition of connected LED daytime running lights inspired by the Skoda Kodiaq.

Other expected exterior changes include black alloy wheels, a revised rear bumper and connected LED taillamps, giving the SUV a more modern and premium appearance while maintaining its familiar proportions.

Interior and feature upgrades

The cabin of the updated Kushaq is expected to receive noticeable upgrades. Key additions could include a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The SUV may also offer a 360-degree camera, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, and refreshed interior trims and upholstery.

These updates are expected to bring the Kushaq closer to segment benchmarks in terms of technology and comfort.

Engine and transmission options

Under the hood, the Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to continue with the same petrol engine options. These include a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque, and a more powerful 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine generating 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque.

Transmission options are likely to remain unchanged, with buyers getting a choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Expected price and rivals

With added features and mild cosmetic enhancements, the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to see a slight price hike over the current model. The existing Kushaq is priced between ₹10.66 lakh and ₹18.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

In the midsize SUV segment, the updated Kushaq will continue to compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder and the upcoming Tata Sierra.

Conclusion

With refreshed styling, a stronger feature list and proven engine options, the Skoda Kushaq facelift aims to strengthen its position in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. More details are expected to be revealed closer to the official launch.
