Indian automaker Mahindra has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition, a premium special-edition electric SUV. Priced at ₹29.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant focuses heavily on luxury, comfort, and advanced in-cabin technology.

Bookings for the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition will open on March 2, 2026, while deliveries are scheduled to begin from March 10, 2026

What Makes the Cineluxe Edition Special?

The Cineluxe Edition is a more premium version of the standard Mahindra XEV 9e, with a strong emphasis on interior refinement and cabin experience.

Exclusive Design Elements

  • Exterior colors: Satin Black and Satin White (exclusive to this edition)

  • Interior theme: Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black smooth leatherette

  • Enhanced dashboard, seats, and door trims with improved comfort and sound insulation

Feature-Loaded Luxury Cabin

The interior of the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition is one of its biggest highlights. It features:

  • A triple HD display stretching across the entire dashboard

  • 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos support

  • Infinity glass roof

  • Multi-color ambient lighting for personalized cabin mood

Advanced Technology & Safety Features

Built on the top-spec Pack Three

variant, the Cineluxe Edition comes loaded with advanced tech, including:

  • StraightAhead VisionX augmented reality head-up display

  • EyeDentity driver monitoring system

  • Hands-free park and auto park assist

  • Secure360 and Secure360 Pro safety systems

  • Digital key access and personalized user profiles

  • Custom drive modes

  • Special AC modes like Camp, Keep, and PawPal

Battery, Range, and Performance

The electric SUV is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack. According to Mahindra:

  • Claimed range: Over 500 km on a single full charge

  • Power output: 210 kW

  • Torque: 380 Nm

Currently, the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition is available only in a rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration. An all-wheel drive (AWD) variant has not been announced yet.

Competition in the Premium EV Segment

With its pricing and feature set, the Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition directly competes in the ₹20–30 lakh premium electric SUV segment. Key rivals include:

  • Hyundai Ioniq 5

  • Tata Harrier EV

  • MG ZS EV (top variants)

  • MG Windsor EV
