Mahindra has released a fresh teaser for its upcoming SUV, the XUV7XO, confirming that the model will make its official debut on January 5, 2026. Pre-bookings will begin on December 15, 2025, with a token amount of ₹21,000. The XUV7XO is essentially a heavily updated version of the XUV700, incorporating significant design upgrades and additional features.

The latest teaser showcases the SUV in a striking new red shade. Key exterior changes include a redesigned front grille, black ORVMs, and two-piece LED projector headlamps. The SUV is also expected to receive new bumpers, revised LED DRLs, and a full-width rear light bar. Despite these updates, the bonnet, fenders, and door panels are likely to remain unchanged.

Inside, the XUV7XO is expected to adopt a triple-screen layout similar to Mahindra’s XEV 9e. This setup may feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and an additional passenger display. Other premium features could include front and rear ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, a sliding second-row seat, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charging pad.

Safety Enhancements

On the safety front, Mahindra is likely to introduce an improved Level 2 ADAS package offering more advanced driver-assistance functions. Standard equipment may include seven airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, electronic stability control, and hill-hold assist.

Engine Options
Mechanically, the SUV will retain the powertrain options from the XUV700. The XUV7XO will continue to offer the 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L turbo-diesel engines.

• The petrol engine, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, delivers 200 PS and 380 Nm of torque.
• The diesel unit produces 185 PS and 450 Nm of torque and is also available with both a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
