Newspoint

Mahindra is gearing up for the grand debut of its upcoming 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S, which will be officially unveiled on November 27, 2025. Ahead of the launch, the company has been releasing teaser images and videos, revealing several standout features that make this SUV one of the most feature-rich models in its segment.

The latest teasers confirm that the XEV 9S will come equipped with a sophisticated triple-screen layout, similar to the one seen in the XEV 9e. This setup includes a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a separate entertainment display for the front passenger. Adding to the premium feel, Mahindra has also showcased a glossy black steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a Harman Kardon sound system, and toggle-style power window switches inspired by the XEV 9e and the BE 6.

Comfort and convenience take center stage with features such as a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, sliding second-row seats, and a panoramic sunroof. An electronic parking brake with auto-hold further enhances driving ease, making the XEV 9S suitable for both city driving and long-distance family travel.

In addition to the confirmed features, the XEV 9S is also likely to come loaded with advanced equipment such as three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, ventilated and massaging front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and comprehensive safety features that include seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESP, and front and rear parking sensors.

Although Mahindra has yet to reveal the full technical specifications, the XEV 9S is expected to share its 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options with the 5-seater XEV 9e. In single-motor configurations, these batteries deliver MIDC ranges of around 542 km and 656 km, respectively. The 7-seater XEV 9S is expected to offer a similar level of range, positioning it as a strong contender in the growing Indian electric SUV market.
