Bold New Exterior With Familiar SUV Character

The Mahindra XUV 7XO adopts the brand’s latest design language, giving it a more upright and muscular stance. At the front, the SUV features a revised grille paired with sleek LED daytime running lights positioned higher along the bonnet line. Dual-pod LED projector headlamps and LED fog lamps enhance visibility, while a reworked bumper and faux skid plates add to the rugged appeal.

From the side, the XUV 7XO is expected to feature new 18-inch alloy wheels and flush door handles, maintaining a clean and modern profile. The rear receives updated LED tail lamps with refreshed lighting elements, along with a roof-mounted spoiler and shark-fin antenna. Mahindra is also likely to introduce new exterior colour options, including a bold red shade that has already been teased ahead of the launch.

Upgraded Cabin With Triple-Screen Layout

Inside, the XUV 7XO is expected to feel more premium and technology-driven than before. The dashboard design appears layered and contemporary, focusing on improved screen integration and ease of use. A standout highlight is the triple-screen setup, which includes a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, and an additional screen for vehicle-related functions on higher variants.

The SUV will also feature a new flat-bottom, two-spoke steering wheel with updated branding and mounted controls. Mahindra is expected to offer multiple interior themes depending on the variant, with lighter shades aimed at creating a more spacious and airy cabin feel. Despite the heavy use of screens, physical buttons for essential controls such as climate settings have been retained for practicality.

Feature-Loaded Offering With Strong Safety Focus

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is shaping up to be one of the most feature-rich SUVs in its segment. Expected highlights include a large touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with memory function, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a premium 16-speaker audio system.

Comfort features such as dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and rear-seat convenience options are also likely to be offered. The rear seats are expected to include a Bring Your Own Device setup, enhancing entertainment options for passengers.

In terms of safety, the SUV is expected to come with six airbags as standard, along with electronic stability control, hill hold assist, parking sensors, and ISOFIX mounts. Higher variants are likely to offer an advanced driver assistance package, including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, automatic emergency braking, and a 540-degree camera system.

Familiar Engines With Proven Performance

Powering the Mahindra XUV 7XO will be familiar engine options carried over from the existing lineup. Buyers can expect a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 200 PS and a 2.2-litre diesel unit delivering up to 185 PS. Both engines are expected to be paired with manual and automatic transmission options, with all-wheel drive available on select diesel variants.

Expected Pricing And Market Rivals

Bookings for the XUV 7XO are already open with a token amount, and the SUV is expected to be priced from around Rs 15 lakh, ex-showroom. Once launched, it will compete directly with established rivals such as the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector, and Mahindra Scorpio N.
