Mahindra's Big 2-Year Plan: 8 New SUVs, Including Electric Thar and New XUV Models
Mahindra is gearing up for an aggressive product expansion. Over the next two years, the company plans to launch up to eight new SUVs across multiple segments and powertrain options. Recent testing activity confirms that several new models are already deep in development.
One of the most anticipated models is the BE Rall-E, an adventure-focused version of the BE 6. It will feature rugged body cladding, a tougher suspension setup, and a more off-road-oriented stance. The Rall-E is expected to use the same electric motor and battery options as the standard BE 6 and may launch as early as next year.
Mahindra has also showcased the Thar EV concept, which hints at a five-door, fully electric off-roader designed to complement the current Thar lineup. The company is also exploring an electric version of the Scorpio, likely based on the Vision S concept and built on Mahindra’s upcoming NU_IQ architecture.
A compact SUV inspired by the Vision X concept is also in the works. Meanwhile, an electric SUV based on the XUV 3XO platform has been spotted testing multiple times.
Among the ICE models, the XUV700 facelift is expected to be Mahindra’s first major launch in 2026, featuring refreshed bumpers, updated headlamps, new alloy wheels, and a redesigned cabin.
One of Mahindra’s biggest upcoming launches will be the XUV.e8, a three-row electric SUV that may be marketed as the XEV 9S. It is expected to feature two battery options and deliver a driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge.
