Sultanpur Toll Plaza Scandal: Assistant Manager Fired Two Days Before Complaint;
A major controversy has erupted in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, after the assistant manager of the anti-traffic management system at the Purvanchal Expressway toll plaza was dismissed for allegedly recording and blackmailing passengers. The assistant manager, Ashutosh Vishwas, is accused of using CCTV cameras to capture people’s private moments and extorting large sums of money from them.
Shockingly, the dismissal letter is dated November 30, while the complaint was filed with the Chief Minister on December 2. This means the manager was terminated two days before the complaint surfaced publicly, raising serious questions about the timing and intent behind the action.
The incident falls under the Haliapur police station area. The Purvanchal Expressway’s anti-traffic management system, run through CCTV cameras at the toll plaza, is monitored by three employees.
Complainants also allege that he filmed women and girls from nearby villages while they were defecating in the open and later made those videos viral. He similarly recorded private moments of couples traveling on the expressway.
Even after victims paid him to prevent the videos from leaking, he allegedly went ahead and circulated the clips on social media.
One such incident involved a newly married couple, whose private moment—where they were seen kissing inside their car—was captured after Ashutosh zoomed in the CCTV camera.
Although people raised the issue with the Chief Minister on December 2 and the complaint letter went viral online, the assistant manager’s dismissal had already been processed, dated November 30.
