Rising Sales Despite Slow Start

Vida’s year began modestly, with January closing at 1,626 units. However, the numbers began accelerating from March onwards. Monthly retail sales stayed above 6,000 units for four consecutive months between March and June, signalling strengthening acceptance among buyers. July marked a turning point as Vida crossed the 10,000-unit threshold for the first time. This upward trajectory continued for five straight months, culminating in its highest monthly performance in October 2025 with 16,017 units sold in the domestic market.

Rapid Market Position Gains

The consistent surge in demand has also helped Vida climb steadily in the manufacturer rankings. It started the year in seventh position, moved to sixth in February and reached fifth place in March, where it held firm until October. Last month, the brand advanced further by overtaking Ola Electric to secure the fourth spot. Vida’s overall market share currently stands at 8 percent, reflecting its strengthening competitive position.

VX2 Drives Strong Second-Half Growth

A major catalyst behind this impressive performance has been the launch of the VX2 in July 2025. Positioned as a family-oriented scooter, the VX2 shares its core components with the sportier V2 but differentiates itself through more conventional styling and an aggressive pricing strategy under the Battery-as-a-Service model . This approach has significantly reduced the upfront cost for buyers and proved especially impactful in the latter half of the year. The VX2’s affordability and practicality helped Vida comfortably surpass a slowing Ola Electric in monthly sales.

Steady Momentum Through 2025

Sales remained strong through August (13,380 units), September (12,830 units) and November (12,220 units). Even in the first five days of December, Vida registered 1,984 units, reinforcing expectations of a strong year-end finish. With one lakh annual sales now achieved, Vida’s upward trajectory suggests sustained momentum heading into the next calendar year.
