Announced by Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, this platform aims to solve a major problem many workers face, PF funds getting stuck after job switches, company shutdowns, or incomplete account linking.

What Makes This Portal Important?

Many employees lose track of old PF accounts over the years, especially after multiple career moves. In several cases, missing UAN linkage or outdated records make withdrawals difficult.

E-PRAAPTI is expected to simplify this process by:

• Helping users locate inactive PF accounts

• Giving employees direct control without depending heavily on employers or HR teams

How Will E-PRAAPTI Work?

The portal, officially known as Employee Provident Fund Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts, will initially use member IDs to securely identify and recover dormant accounts.

Over time, EPFO may expand its features to help even those who no longer remember old account details.
