The Ladli Behna Yojana has emerged as one of the state’s most significant welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening women financially. Since its launch, the programme has helped many women manage day-to-day expenses and improve their economic independence.

Expected Date Of The 36th Instalment

Traditionally, the instalment amount under the scheme is credited by the 10th day of every month. However, this month the schedule may shift slightly because 10 May falls on a Sunday. As a result, beneficiaries are expecting the payment to arrive between 11 May and 15 May.

Although the government has not officially confirmed the exact transfer date, administrative preparations are reportedly progressing at a rapid pace. Beneficiaries across the state are closely monitoring updates related to the payment release.

The expected increase in the instalment amount from previous payouts to ₹1,500 has generated considerable interest among women enrolled under the scheme.

Scheme Continues To Support Crores Of Women

The Ladli Behna Yojana currently benefits nearly 1.29 crore women across Madhya Pradesh. The initiative was launched on 5 March, 2023 under the leadership of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The scheme was introduced with the objective of providing regular financial support to women from economically weaker backgrounds. Over time, it has become one of the most widely discussed welfare programmes in the state due to its direct cash transfer model.

Monthly assistance provided under the scheme is transferred straight to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer system, ensuring transparency and quicker access to funds.

How Beneficiaries Can Check Payment Status

Women registered under the scheme can conveniently verify their application and payment status online without visiting any government office.

To check the payment status, beneficiaries need to visit the official Ladli Behna Yojana portal. After opening the homepage, applicants should select the “Application and Payment Status” option.

They will then need to enter either their application number or Samagra ID, followed by the captcha code displayed on the screen. Once the OTP verification process is completed, beneficiaries can view details of all instalments credited under the scheme so far.

This online process has simplified access to payment information and reduced dependency on offline verification methods.

Eligibility Criteria For Women Applicants

The scheme is available exclusively for women who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh. Married women are eligible to apply, along with widowed, divorced, abandoned and destitute women.

Applicants must fall within the age group of 21 to 60 years to receive benefits under the programme. Another important requirement is that the applicant must possess an active bank account linked with Aadhaar and enabled for DBT services.

These conditions have been introduced to ensure smooth transfer of funds and prevent delays in receiving financial assistance.

Financial Assistance Bringing Greater Security

Welfare schemes offering direct monetary support have increasingly become important for women managing household responsibilities, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. The Ladli Behna Yojana has played a key role in improving access to regular financial assistance for women who may otherwise lack stable economic backing.

The possibility of an increased instalment amount is expected to provide additional relief to beneficiaries dealing with rising household expenses. For many families, the monthly support acts as supplementary income that helps cover essential needs such as food, education and healthcare.

As anticipation builds around the release of the next instalment, beneficiaries across Madhya Pradesh are now waiting for an official announcement regarding the final payment date.
