Nasdaq drops 2% as Middle East conflict fans inflation fears

Wall Street's main indexes opened sharply lower on Tuesday as investors braced ‌for ⁠the ⁠impact of a widening conflict in the Middle East on inflation and global trade.

The Dow ⁠Jones Industrial ‌Average fell 411.7 points, or ⁠0.84%, at the open to 48,493.11. The S&P 500 fell 81.4 points, or 1.18%, at the ‌open to 6,800.26, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped ⁠456.5 points, or 2.01%, to 22,292.37 at the opening bell.
