Mahto said his wife was cooking in the morning when she went to the bedroom for some work and suddenly saw the snake. Shocked, she ran out screaming and informed everyone a very large snake had entered the room.

Soon, people gathered around, and some said it was a highly poisonous snake. The family immediately locked the bedroom door from the outside and informed the forest department . After some time, a team from the department arrived and safely rescued the snake.

Valmikinagar ranger Satyam Kumar said the search for food, mainly other snakes, forces king cobras to move from forest areas, particularly the Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR), into nearby human settlements. He urged residents not to panic, maintain a safe distance from wild animals and immediately inform the forest department instead of trying to handle them.
