20-yr-old engg student hangs himself at his residence

Rajkot: A 20-year-old engineering student from a private university in Rajkot was found hanging at his residence in Sevashray Society on Friday night.

The deceased, identified as Avinash Moliya, was reportedly distressed after a recent exam, though police said the exact motive is yet to be established. Avinash was the younger of two siblings, and his father is a businessman.

His parents informed Malviya Nagar police station that no one was at home when the incident occurred. They found him unresponsive on their return and called an ambulance. Paramedical staff declared him dead on the spot and alerted the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
