Nagpur: Ramtek is set to turn into a bustling hub of hope and harvest on Friday, as over 25,000 farmers from across the region will converge at Nehru Maidan for the Kisan Samruddhi Mela and Agricultural Mela.

The mega event, aimed at empowering cultivators with new-age farming practices, will be inaugurated by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, with deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde presiding.

The presence of spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is expected to be a major draw.

However, the event has sparked a political row after deputy CM Ajit Pawar's name and photo were missing from the invitation. NCP's Nagpur Rural district president Shivraj (Baba) Gujar has lodged a protest, alleging that sidelining Pawar despite his key role in agriculture-related decisions shows disrespect to alliance partners.
