The network was involved in bringing illegal weapons into India and supplying them to criminal elements active in Punjab.

DGP Gaurav Yadav shared details on social media, stating that the gang used to arrange weapon consignments from across the border and distribute them locally. These weapons were intended to fuel criminal activities in the state.

An FIR has been registered at the Cantonment police station in Amritsar under relevant sections of the Arms Act.

The police said the investigation is ongoing to identify all links connected to the network.
