Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor 'tried to set up meeting' between Epstein brutal dictator
A series of emails appear to show Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor attempting to arrange a meeting with Colonel Gaddafi for the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The newly-discovered email were sent from Andrew in late 2010, according Channel 4 News findings.
The emails suggest that the disgraced financier wanted to secure a role in managing the Libyan dictator's money. Epstein, who took his own life in 2019, appears to say that people who have met Gaddafi "have asked me if I want to meet him as he does not know where to put his money" and goes on to attempt to arrange a meeting with either Gaddafi or his associates via the disgraced royal.
Further emails suggest the meeting ultimately did not go ahead as Epstein did not fly to Tripoli as planned.
Colonel Gaddafi, and his son Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, were both public figures whom Andrew had met in Libya during his role as trade envoy. Channel 4 News then understands Colonel Gaddafi is referred to as "the father" to distinguish him from his well-known son Saif.
The disgraced royal himself refers to Gaddafi in other emails about Libya as "Brother Leader" and admits having a contact who has his ear.
Emails dated from October 7, 2010, show that Epstein initially reached to David Stern, who is an associate of Andrew, saying: "i want to go to tripoli lets organize with pa".
Stern then replies indicating that he has spoken to Andrew.
His email reads: "He is thinking about the best approach and will discuss with me when I see him next on 17th Oct in Hong Kong (he is leaving today for Asia)."
On November 3, 2010, Epstein contacts Stern again to remind him about Tripoli, and Stern responds saying: "PA will meet the man who is his link to the father tonight or tomorrow. Will update you as soon as i have news."
A day later Andrew makes contact with Epstein, saying: "I will call you later this evening after I have had my chat with my Libyan contact to see what we can arrange for you in Tripoli." Andrew then follows up with this message: "Libya fixed. Call me whenever."
The final email is then sent on November 7, 2010, from Epstein to Andrew. This reads: "I was just following up on your suggestion that i should meet the leader as he is in need of advice. [...] I will gladly go to tripoli, as i thinkg it would be interesting, but only if it is easy to organize and the meeting will definitely take place."
Channel 4 News uncovered the emails from the latest dump of Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice.
