"Assaulted While Stealing": Thief files counter-complaint against homeowners in Bengaluru
In a bizarre turn of events in Bengaluru, a man who broke into an apartment to commit theft ended up filing a police complaint against the homeowners for allegedly assaulting him during the act. The incident took place within the Sampigehalli police station limits in Chikkannahalli.
The accused, identified as Asghar Khan, an auto-driver by profession, had recently attempted to steal iron materials from an apartment complex along with his friends.
Following the encounter, Khan sought medical treatment at a hospital and then boldly approached the police station. He filed a formal complaint alleging that a woman and several others from the apartment had assaulted him.
The police investigation quickly unraveled the truth, revealing that Khan had initiated the violence by attacking the residents first. It was also discovered that Khan, struggling to make ends meet with his auto-driving earnings, had been inspired by his friends who made easy money through petty thefts. Bengaluru police have since arrested Asghar Khan, and his two accomplices are being tracked.
