At least 3 injured in firecracker factory explosion in Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar
VIRUDHUNAGAR: At least three people were injured in a firecracker unit explosion near Kananjampatti in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu on Monday morning.
Police sources said that the fire and rescue personnel received information of a fire at a firecracker unit near Kananjampatti of the Virudhunagar district at around 9.00am.
Upon information, firebrigade, along with police, rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation and dousing the fire.

Initial police investigation revealed that it was a licensed firecracker unit, and the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
Three have been reportedly injured, and they are yet to be identified. Injured were shifted for nearby GH.
A case was registered by Vembakottai police, and further investigation is underway.
