Patna: The Construction Industry Development Council has selected the Bapu Tower in Patna and Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum and Memorial Stupa in Vaishali for the 17th Vishwakarma Awards 2026 . Building construction department secretary Kumar Ravi announced this on Tuesday.

The Bapu Tower in Gardanibagh documents the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his connection to Bihar using audio-visual technology and murals. The 72-acre Vaishali complex, which opened in July 2025, houses Buddha’s relics within a stupa constructed from Bansi Paharpur sandstone. Engineers utilised specific techniques to ensure the structure remains earthquake-resistant. The site includes a library, visitor centre, and museum.
