Bear captured inside Shivamogga airport premises

Shivamogga: Forest department officials successfully captured a bear that entered Shivamogga airport, causing panic on Monday (March 30).

The bear had been sighted in villages around the airport for several days. While forest officials were tracking it, the animal ran into the airport compound and hid inside a pit. The team managed to capture it safely.

On Monday morning, the bear was spotted near Vinayaka Nagar and Jyoti Nagar, close to the airport. It roamed near houses and gardens, prompting locals to record videos and inform the forest department.
