Belthangady: Man dies of electrocution

Belthangady: A man died of electrocution in Guripalla on Sunday morning (January 25).

The deceased has been identified as Shivaprasad Adapa (48), a resident of Kadthyaru near Guripalla in Kanyadi village.

According to sources, Shivaprasad was switching on a water pump near his house, as part of his daily routine, when he suffered an electric shock.

He was thrown aside due to the impact and sustained serious injuries. Family members immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Ujire, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The body has been kept at the Belthangady Government Hospital. Further details are awaited.
