A video of a Bihar government teacher refusing to show her train ticket has taken social media by storm, highlighting both reckless behaviour and the honesty of a vigilant ticket examiner.

The clip shows the woman, a school teacher, arguing endlessly with the TTE after being caught travelling without a ticket. Despite repeated requests, she initially pretends to be busy on her phone, ignoring the official.

The TTE, recording the incident, calmly insists, “agar ticket hai toh show kijiye na ma’m (if you have the ticket, please show it to me ma’m)." Frustrated, the teacher even tries to grab the phone to stop being filmed.

She pleads, claiming harassment, but the TTE stands his ground, ensuring she eventually leaves the train. His composed handling of the situation drew praise online.

Social media users didn’t spare the teacher, criticizing her hypocrisy. “She’s travelling for free herself and probably spends the whole day giving wisdom to others,” one comment read. Another said, “Upon watching videos of this kind, the concerned departments should take suo motu cognisance of the violations of the prescribed social conduct, rules, and responsibilities for government employees!!”

Netizens also highlighted common sense: “The TTE only asked for the ticket. If you have it, just show it, there’s nothing bothersome about that… The real issue is that you don’t have a ticket and you’re travelling in AC. If you’re determined to travel without a ticket, then go to the general compartment, where even if you get caught, the fine will be less and there won’t be any arguments during the journey either,” one user noted.

While the teacher’s behaviour was widely condemned, the TTE emerged as the real hero, showing integrity and patience while enforcing the rules.
