Black Ops 7 Season 1 Reloaded release time, content and file size
Call of Duty is set to bring in the new year with style as Season 1 Reloaded is right around the corner for Black Ops 7.
Bringing with it three new maps, two new weapons and a bunch of other additions, it's set to be a welcome refresh for the online shooter. Eagre players might want to get it downloaded sooner rather than later, though - it's set to be a chunky download.
Here's everything you need to know about Black Ops 7 Season 1 Reloaded, including when you can hop online and the sort of content to expect.
Season 1 Reloaded start date and timeBlack Ops 7 Season 1 reloaded is set to kick off on Thursday, January 8
Sadly, the Season 1 Reloaded update doesn't look like it can be preloaded, so you'll need to wait for the data to download before you can hop back into the game. That might be a problem for some with early reports suggesting that the update is up to 174GB in size, although this depends on how many Call of Duty titles you have installed.
All new maps for Black Ops 7 Season 1 ReloadedActivision is bringing three new maps to Black Ops 7 in Season 1 Reloaded. These include:
Yakei
Meltdown
Fringe
All three of these maps are all 6v6 variants, although Yakei can also be played in 2v2 modes. Veteran Call of Duty fans will know that Fringe is a returning map from Black Ops 3.
A new mode is also arriving in Season 1 Reloaded in the form of Takeover. This is a cross between Domination and Hardpoint with three objective points switching between different locations during the course of the match.
Two new weapons are coming to Black Ops 7 in this midseason update:
Hawker HX (Sniper Rifle)
Sturmwolf 45 (SMG)
Both of these weapons will be available to unlock as part of seasonal event challenges.
Three new weapon attachments are also arriving. These include:
Coda 9 Adaptive Discharge Mod
M8A1 Full Auto Conversion
MCP-25 Contrabloom Laser
To unlock these attachments, players will need to complete a series of weekly challenges.
Endgame is a new mode for Black Ops 7 that turns the Campaign into something that's a bit more replayable. Activision is bringing a couple of new world events to the mode with Season 1 Reloaded which might encourage some players to dive back in for more. Those are:
Wraith Ring World Event
Phantom Skill Track
Zombies fans aren't being left out with a couple of new additions to get excited about in Season 1 Reloaded. First up, Astra Malorum is getting a Directed Mode for those who want an easy way to play through the map's story.
Meanwhile, we're also getting the Zarya Cosmodrome Survival map.
Fallout crossover eventCrossover events are common in Call of Duty, and Black Ops 7 is no different. The big event this time is with the Fallout TV series, with a recent post on X teasing what appears to be character models for Lucy, The Ghoul and Maximus.
These crossover items will likely appear in the in-game store shortly after Season 1 Reloaded starts on January 8, 2026.
