Bomb Threat at Delhi’s Chanakyapuri School Sparks Major Police Response
A bomb threat email sent to Sanskriti School in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri on Thursday morning triggered panic, but a swift investigation by Delhi Police confirmed it was a hoax. The scare comes at a time when the city is already on edge following a series of recent security alarms.
According to ANI, the school immediately alerted authorities after receiving the threat. Police teams swept the premises and declared the email baseless. This incident adds to a string of hoax threats reported across the capital over the past week.
Just days ago, major court complexes, Patiala House, Saket, Rohini, and Tis Hazari, were evacuated after similar emails created chaos. Two CRPF schools in Dwarka and Prashant Vihar also received bomb threats. “We received an email stating bombs are planted in different courts. This included Delhi district courts and two CRPF [Central Reserve Police Force] schools in Dwarka and Prashant Vihar,” a police officer told HT earlier, confirming all these warnings were false alarms.
Investigators are now digging deeper into encrypted Telegram and Signal group chats believed to be linked to the blast. At least seven individuals, many of them medical professionals, are currently under the scanner of Delhi Police’s special cell, working alongside the NIA.
With repeated hoax calls and an active terror probe underway, Delhi continues to navigate a tense atmosphere. Police officials have urged residents to stay alert but avoid panic, assuring that all threats are being thoroughly verified.

Delhi on Edge After Red Fort Terror Blast
The spike in hoax threats follows a deadly terror incident near Red Fort on November 10. A slow-moving Hyundai i20 exploded close to Gate No. 1 of Lal Quila Metro Station, killing over 10 people and injuring many others. The attack, now confirmed as an act of terror, has placed the national capital region on heightened alert.Investigators are now digging deeper into encrypted Telegram and Signal group chats believed to be linked to the blast.
