One Direction star Liam died aged 31 after falling from the third floor at a hotel in Argentina. His autopsy revealed the singer died from "multiple traumas" that caused "internal and external bleeding". Authorities had been alerted to an incident involving "an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol" around 5 pm on the day he died. Upon reaching the site, emergency teams were met with the aftermath of a disturbing noise in the courtyard, where they found the deceased singer.

Liam was declared intestate as he did not have a will which means his estate was divided among any children.

The star only had one child, Bear, with Cheryl and the former X-Factor judge was subsequently given the power of administration over his estate.

It is believed Liam's wealth, largely accumulated during his boyband years, has been put into a trust for his son.

Friends of Cheryl stated she always wants to do what is best for her son - like Liam had done during his tragically short life and has vowed she "will do the right thing" for him.

"It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that. Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much. He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially," a source close to Liam told Mail Online.

Friends added that the singer was determined to ensure his only son would be well cared for if anything were to happen to him.

Consequently, his girlfriend at the time of his passing, American model and influencer Kate Cassidy, received none of his inheritance.
