Court allows bail to 3 more in liquor scam case
Ranchi: A special ACB court in Ranchi on Wednesday allowed bail by default to three accused persons after the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) failed to submit the chargesheet within the stipulated 90 days following their arrest in the Rs 38 crore liquor scam case.
The court allowed bail to the general manager (GM) Jharkhand State Beverages Corporation Limited Sudhir Kumar Das, former GM finance Sudhir Kumar and an employee of Marshan company Neeraj Kumar.
It may be stated here that the court had granted bail by default to IAS officer Vinay Choubey on Tuesday due to the same reason. The ACB had arrested 11 accused persons in connection with the scam out of whom five have secured bail.
