'Creepy' true crime doc that has viewers 'hooked' now streaming for free

A disturbing true crime documentary that viewers have labelled the "wildest one" they've encountered is now available to stream without charge.

Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence is a three-part series that initially debuted on Hulu and Disney Plus in 2023, chronicling the horrifying true story of students at Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers, New York.

The documentary explores the unsettling account of how students became ensnared by the cult-like control of their flatmate's father, with the premise: "Ex-con Larry Ray becomes a ninth roommate at a college dorm."

The three-part series can now be watched free of charge on ITVX, and has been described as essential viewing for true crime enthusiasts, reports the Mirror.

An official synopsis states: "With unprecedented access, Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence excerpts striking first-hand interviews with conman Larry Ray's victims and incorporates personal audio tapes and video recordings to tell the story of his grim 10 year influence over a group of young people."

It goes on: "The series follows the story from the cult's origins in 2010 on the Sarah Lawrence campus until its recent demise, when the last members find their own path to survival."

On social media, one true crime enthusiast recently discovered the series had become accessible on ITVX, describing it as a "chilling" experience. They remarked: "It's definitely worth a watch."

One viewer responded: "OMG I watched this a while ago because I'm obsessed with cults and this was up there with one of the wildest ones I've ever watch! So good."

Another exclaimed: "This was wild! I've actually watched this twice it was that good... very sad... but definitely a crazy story."
