Daltonganj Man Arrested for Spurious Lubricant Sales, 471 Liters Seized
Daltonganj: A resident of Islamnagar was arrested on charges of purchase and sale of automotive lubricants, police said.Officer in-charge of the Haidernagar police station, Dhananjay Gope, said, “Khurshid Alam (51) was arrested on Tuesday and 471lts of spurious lubricant was seized from his garage, named Aman Automobile, located at Islamnagar.
He revealed that he used to receive the supply from a resident of Kolkata. Further investigation is under way.”
Alam was jailed under sec 318 (cheating) and 349 (selling goods marked with a counterfeit property mark) of the BNS, and secs 63 and 65 (infringement) of the Copyright Act.
