Marjorie Taylor Greene has launched a blistering attack on Donald Trump after the US joined forces with Israel to attack Iran. Trump has now revealed that the conflict had been projected to last four to five weeks but could "go far longer than that". Greene, 51, was one of the most vocal supporters of Donald Trump throughout her time in Congress, however, things began to shift.

Last year she openly criticised Trump's decision to authorise airstrikes on Iran and his strong support for Israel during the Gaza conflict. But her breaking point came over his handling of the Epstein files. After Trump refused to order his justice department to fully release its files on the case, she appeared alongside Jeffrey Epstein's victims and Democrats in pushing for a House vote on the issue.

On The Megyn Kelly Show, Greene went further in her criticism of Trump, questioning his mental state following his repeated claims that he intends to run for a third term as president.

She raged: "This is not what we voted for. It's absolutely America last. It's the same bulls**t we've seen for decades now. I don't think the president is being tongue-in-cheek.

"I know that man very well and he repeatedly says he's not going to have it the same way. He repeatedly says, 'Should I run for president again?' That started out as we could take it as a joke but I don't think he's joking."

The politician continued: "I know you're not willing to go there but I am. I really want to know what is his mental state and who is he doing this for? Because it's not for the American people.

"He's lying, he's gone back on what he promised: foreign wars and no more regime changes."

She expressed deep concern about Trump's mental state once again, arguing that it may be time for the United States to confront the situation and make a decisive change in leadership.

Greene, who announced she was resigning from Congress in late 2025, fumed: "Donald Trump has said repeatedly he doesn't think he's going to heaven. What is in his mind?

"What is his mental state if he doesn't think he's going to heaven and he's a man in the fourth quarter, towards the end of his life, how does that pan out for the rest of us when we have a president of the United States who is convinced he's not going to heaven.

"What does that mean his decision making is? He doesn't care about what the American people think and he may put troops on the ground. He claimed this was going to be a few day war to now maybe four weeks or more. What is happening to the man that I supported, that you supported?"

She added: "We're in another f*****g war and we've got American troops being killed. I think it's time for America to rip the bandaid off."

Reposting a clip of the interview on X, one person wrote: "Wow... Marjorie Taylor Greene 'I know Trump very well. He repeatedly says that he's going to run for president again. I don't think he's joking. I really want to know what his mental state is.' Even die hard MAGA fans are sounding the alarms!"

Another shared: "I'm here for this. Agree with her completely. This timeline is wild."

Trump's health and mental state has been subject of speculation in recent months. However, the president has been quick to dismiss any speculation surrounding his declining health, insisting he has "aced" cognitive tests and impressed doctors during CT scans.
