Guided Visits Arranged To Showcase Rehabilitation Facilities

On the direction of the deputy commissioner, a dedicated JRDA bus was arranged to take residents on a guided visit to the Jharia Rehabilitation site. The tour covered key locations such as Belgaria and Karmatand, where officials highlighted essential services including housing provisions, water supply, electricity availability and community infrastructure. JRDA personnel accompanied the groups throughout the visit, providing clarifications and responding to the concerns raised by villagers about the move.

Putki circle officer Vikas Anand said, “Residents are being taken to Belgaria township and surrounding areas to instil confidence among them about relocation process. We are continuously engaging with the people to ensure their safety.”

Technical Teams Assess Leak Source And Intensity

Alongside the outreach activities, technical experts carried out surveys at the gas leak site to gauge the origin and extent of the emissions. Their assessment is expected to guide the next phase of safety measures as the area remains sensitive due to underground fire zones that have historically affected parts of Jharia. Rescue teams continued to stay deployed in the region as a precautionary step, ensuring readiness in case the situation worsens.

Authorities Urge Residents To Vacate Danger Zones Promptly

Public announcements by the district administration and BCCL were intensified to alert residents about the risks posed by lingering gas emissions. Officials reiterated that vacating the area swiftly is essential, emphasising that underground fires can trigger sudden hazards. They added that relocating to safer zones not only protects families but also supports long-term rehabilitation plans aimed at stabilising the region.
