Drugs worth over Rs 8cr seized, 3 held

Silchar : Cachar police on Friday night seized contraband valued at over Rs 8 crore and detained three persons from Sonai in an anti-narcotics operation. Acting on specific intelligence, a police team conducted a raid at a house in the Ganguly area of Kachudaram, where they recovered around 1.357 kg of morphine, officials said.The seizure is estimated to be worth Rs 8.2 crore in the black market.
