Gold appraiser training to be held in Chennai from March 9-13

Chennai: The Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai, will organise a five day ‘gold appraiser training' programme from March 9 to 13 between 10am and 5pm at its campus.

The training will cover topics in metallurgy with a focus on gold and silver and explain industry concepts, including the difference between karat and carat, methods for calculating gold purity, and jewel loan assessment procedures.

Participants will receive hands-on training in jewellery making techniques such as casting methods, filigree work, and stone setting. Instruction on hallmarking procedures and standards, assaying methods, and touchstone testing practices, will be delivered by experts.

Candidates aged 18 and above with a minimum qualification of Class X are eligible to apply. A govt certificate will be provided upon completion. Pre-registration is mandatory.
