Horror In Rajasthan: Bhopal Teen Kidnapped, Forced To Drink Urine; Probe On After Video Surfaces
A disturbing case of extreme violence against an 18-year-old youth from Bhopal has emerged from Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district, triggering outrage and shock across both states. The victim, identified as Sonu, was allegedly abducted, illegally confined for three days, and subjected to brutal physical and psychological torture.
The case came to light after a horrifying video of the assault surfaced online. The footage reportedly shows Sonu being beaten by a group of men and forced to drink urine from a beer bottle. The act, widely condemned for its cruelty and humiliation, left viewers shaken and prompted immediate police attention. According to NDTV, the video was later sent directly to Sonu’s family, intensifying the gravity of the case.
Police said Sonu, who lives in Bhopal’s Kolar area, was in a relationship with a woman from Puloro village in Jhalawar. About two weeks ago, the woman travelled to Bhopal and stayed with him. She later returned to Rajasthan after her family intervened and took her back.
Soon after, Sonu reportedly received a phone call asking him to come to Rajasthan to meet her. Believing the call to be genuine, he travelled to Puloro village. However, upon reaching there, members of the woman’s family allegedly abducted him and took him to a house, where he was held against his will.
Investigators said Sonu was subjected to prolonged and repeated violence. He was allegedly beaten for hours, kicked, punched, and threatened. The torture reportedly went beyond physical assault, involving deliberate psychological abuse meant to break him. Police said the accused recorded the incident while forcing Sonu to drink urine, allegedly to intimidate and humiliate him further.
After the video reached Sonu’s family, they immediately approached the Kolar police station in Bhopal, seeking urgent help. Although the incident took place in Rajasthan, police in Bhopal acted swiftly, prioritising the victim’s safety.
“A special police team has been dispatched. We are in constant coordination with the Rajasthan Police. The victim’s statement is being recorded and the video is being verified. Strict legal action will follow,” Inspector Sanjay Soni said.
Police added that efforts are ongoing to identify all individuals involved in the assault and ensure they are brought to justice.
