I have no experience in falling at someone's feet to gain power: Udhayanidhi Stalin
COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Friday said he had no experience in “falling at someone’s feet to gain power” or “being a slave to BJP.”
Udhayanidhi made this attack on former chief minister and AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami while campaigning for DMK candidate K V K Sabari Karthikeyan in Kinathukadavu constituency here. He displayed an old picture of former Palaniswami falling at V K Sasikala’s feet.

During his speech, Udhayanidhi highlighted the achievements of the DMK govt and termed the assembly election as a mandate to continue the “Dravidian model” of governance.
He said the monthly financial assistance scheme for women would be expanded to cover more households. He devoted a major part of his speech on the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme, saying it had significantly improved school attendance across the state.
Udhayanidhi pointed to the projects implemented by the DMK govt in Kinathukadavu, including a jewellery park, a hostel for labourers at SIDCO and other infrastructure initiatives.
He appealed to voters to deliver a massive victory for the rising sun symbol, saying that every vote for the DMK candidate would be a vote for chief minister M K Stalin’s leadership.
He said the DMK was aiming at winning all the 10 seats in Coimbatore. Referring to the last election, he said the party had lost the Kinathukadavu constituency by a narrow margin and that this time Sabari should win by more than 50,000 votes.
