I'm A Celebrity star 'can't bear' to watch ITV show back for one reason
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here star Danielle Harold has admitted her fear of bugs is so bad she hasn't been able to watch her scenes on the show back. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk the 33-year-old former EastEnders star admitted she went on the show to try and overcome her terror but to no avail.
"My biggest fear in life is bugs, spiders, it's literally it. I just thought if I was gonna do it, I might as well just go for it. I thought maybe I'd get over my fear. And no, I didn't! I don't even know how I've done the show to be honest. I haven't even seen a clip back of myself, because I just can't bear to. I've not seen anything from it at all. I've watched my EastEnders work but it's the bugs that's different. So I can't watch it because of the bugs."
Asked what her main fear was out of the multitude of critters she was faced with on the show speaking on behalf of Slotscalendar she confessed: "I hate rats as well, and obviously I had rats sort of poured on my head."
Danielle was the fifth celebrity voted out ande spent 20 days in the jungle with campmates including Jamie Lynn Spears, Josie Gibson, Marvin Humes, Fred Sirieix, and Nigel Farage.
During her time in camp she was forced to face her fears on several occasions from her first fearful Pole Position challenge 100m in the air, to getting up close and personal with rats at the Barbaric Barbershop.
Following her Following her exit from I'm A Celebrity, it was claimed she put on a very brave face while battling an illness and had been close to being forced to quit the ITV show, as she required medical attention from a doctor due to a "nasty infection".
The Sun claimed she lost nearly lost a stone in weight at the time, while viewers had no idea of her health ordeal, as it wasn't shown on-screen.
According to the publication, Danielle told a friend: "I felt wiped out, so rough and unwell, but I was determined to stay in there. I hadn't gone all that way for it to end like that."
A source claimed: "Danielle fell ill at the start of the show and developed a really nasty infection which made her very unwell. It was all kept off camera and she just kept powering through.
"[She] was seen by the camp doctor several times. They were very concerned but rather than throw in the towel she wanted to stay the course."
