Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were caught up in a bizarre "psychosexual" relationship with each other, a royal expert has claimed. The former Duke and Duchess of York, who have not been stripped of their titles and kicked out of their home, Royal Lodge in Windsor, appeared several times in the latest tranche of Epstein files released in January.

While being mentioned in the Epstein files does not indicate any wrongdoing, the files gave a fresh insight into the type of "love triangle" relationship Andrew and Fergie had with the convicted paedophile and his "partner in crime", convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell. In some emails, appearing to be sent from Fergie to Epstein, the former Duchess can be seen expressing her "love" and "gratitude" to the US financier, saying in 2009: "You are a legend. I really don't have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness...Xx I am at your service. Just marry me."

Two years later, in 2011, Fergie congratulated Epstein on the birth of an alleged "baby boy" telling him: "Don't know if you are still on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy.

"Even though you never kept in touch, I still am here with love, friendship and congratualtions [sic] on your baby boy. Sarah xx."

It was followed by another message saying: "You have disappeared. I did not even know you were having a baby. It was sooooo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply. More than you will know."

In July 2025, during a formal US Department of Justice interview, Maxwell claimed that Ms Ferguson tried to "put the moves on Jeffrey" regarding Andrew's acquaintance with him.

"I thought that Sarah was trying to put the moves on Jeffrey, if I'm being honest, and I thought the whole thing was annoying and I was p----d off."

"I think Sarah is the one that pushed that. And they met and hung out, I want to say two or three times that had nothing to do with me."

Elsewhere she claimed that Ms Ferguson did not liker her "very nuch" and described her as a "frenemy," adding that she "liked Mr Epstein".

When asked why she thought so, she said: "My female intuition."

Now, a royal commentator has weighed in on the relationship between the four of them and gave out a scathing verdict.

During a live appearance on the 'Lownie Report' podcast on Substack, royal author Andrew Lownie claimed, as per the Mirror: "Andrew was sleeping with Ghislaine, Ghislaine was sleeping with Epstein ... I've heard that Epstein and Sarah were sleeping together. It doesn't surprise me."

He added: "There's a complicated psychosexual network going on as well as a financial one. Certainly Ghislaine and Sarah were not friends.

"I think Ghislaine was rather jealous of Sarah and vice versa. She felt that Sarah was moving in on someone she saw as her boyfriend."
