Hazaribag: Students, affiliated to the Jharkhand Chhatra Morcha, marched on Vinoba Bhabe University (VBU) campus on Thursday pressing for the safety of women and children in the state. The protest came a day after a 13-year-old boy allegedly raped a two-year-old girl in the district.

Besides protesting, the march was also aimed at creating awareness in the society. The rally began from the central library and marched across the university campus. The students raised slogans, demanding capital punishment for rapists and speedy trial of cases of sexual assault.
