Karkala accident: CET student dies after days of treatment

Karkala: A college student, Prerana, who was seriously injured in a road accident near Nitte petrol bunk, died at a hospital on Monday morning after failing to respond to treatment.

The accident had occurred on April 24 when she was returning after completing her CET examination along with her father, Naveenchandra Moolya, on a motorcycle. A car had collided with their vehicle.

Due to the impact, her father died on the spot, while Prerana was critically injured and was undergoing treatment.

With the death of the student, the incident has claimed two lives from the same family.

The incident has led to widespread grief and anger in the area, with people demanding strict action against those responsible for negligent driving.
