Karkala: Do not heed cooking gas shortage rumors: Supply stable, stock available
Karkala: In the wake of the ongoing conflict in Middle Eastern nations, rumors regarding a shortage of cooking gas (LPG) have been circulating on social media. Karnataka State Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Dealers Association Vice President Nithyananda Pai has clarified that the public need not panic as there is no such shortage.
Currently, all dealers have sufficient gas stocks and there is no deficit. HPCL has also provided official information stating that the country's energy security is robust. There is no need for concern regarding fuel availability as petroleum product supply lines across the nation are operating without any interruptions.
Change in booking rules:
There is a maximum limit of 15 cylinders per family per year. However, according to current instructions, at least one month must have elapsed between the date of a new gas booking and the subsequent booking date, he informed.
