Lalu returns home after court ruling
Patna : RJD chief Lalu Prasad returned to Patna on Saturday, a day after a Delhi court ordered the framing of charges against him, his wife Rabri Devi and their four children, including two sons and two daughters, in the railway land-for-jobs case . Lalu had been away from Patna for some time following eye surgery .
Wearing black glasses and a black coat, Lalu emerged from the airport seated in a wheelchair and remained tight-lipped despite repeated questions from media persons on the court’s observation. His daughter Misa Bharti , however, interacted with reporters.

“Charges have not been framed against any of us... Charges will be formally framed on Jan 29 during the next hearing of the case,” Bharti, the Patliputra MP and Lalu’s eldest daughter, said.
Soon after reaching Patna, Lalu went straight to his residence, where several senior RJD leaders and MLAs arrived to meet him. Earlier in the day, a large number of RJD workers had gathered at the airport to receive him. Lalu had been away from Patna for about a month for his eye surgery.
Party leaders said Lalu’s return has acted as a morale booster for RJD workers, many of whom were demoralised after the party’s poor performance in the recently held assembly polls . His arrival also comes at a time when the RJD is grappling with multiple challenges, including legal issues and signs of internal differences that have kept the party in the headlines in recent days.
