Samsung's newest Galaxy smartphones are hours away from launch and shoppers getting their order in early can bag hundreds of pounds in free tech. Last month, Samsung hosted its annual Unpacked event in San Francisco and revealed the Galaxy S26 series.

The range comprises the standard Galaxy S26, along with the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The new phones will land on UK shelves on Wednesday, March 11, and one retailer is giving away free smartwatches in a last-minute pre-order deal.

Customers securing their order by 11.59pm on March 10 will receive a free Galaxy Watch8 worth £319 delivered with their S26 and S26+, with those ordering an S26 Ultra receiving with a free Galaxy Watch8 Classic worth £449. What's more, anyone pre-ordering these handsets will benefit from double storage at no additional charge, receiving a 512GB model for the same price as a 256GB model.

Sky's monthly prices start at £30 for the S26, £38 for the S26+ and £44 for the S26 Ultra. Each plan runs for 36 months, with customers able to swap to a new device after 24 months at no extra cost.

One caveat to Sky's contracts is that they include a modest 100MB data allowance, meaning most users ought to consider upgrading to larger packages to prevent running out. Additionally, Sky confirms its prices 'may change' throughout the 36-month minimum contract period, reports Birmingham Live.

Amongst our other preferred pre-order offers is at Currys-backed site Mobiles.co.uk, where £34.99 per month plus £9 upfront secures customers a standard S26 with 100GB of data. At Three, £35.89 per month plus £40 upfront delivers unlimited data for heavier users, with the S26 Ultra priced at £46.89 per month plus £50 upfront.

Pricing at EE is slightly higher, with the S26 available at £47 per month plus £30 upfront for a 125GB data package, though this grants access to EE's more sophisticated 5G+ network in selected locations. For customers preferring to purchase outright, pre-order pricing remains consistent across retailers including Samsung.com and Amazon.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 range is available in four colour options: Cobalt Violet, Black, White, and Sky Blue. Notable features include an AMOLED display, Exynos 2600 processor, accelerated wireless charging and enhanced AI capabilities.

The S26 Ultra operates on the most powerful processor yet featured in a Galaxy device, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, whilst its 7.9mm frame represents the slimmest Ultra model to date. The phone can manage even the most intensive operations with exceptionally smooth performance and is complemented by sophisticated AI technology and a 200MP camera.

Technology Editor David Snelling attended Galaxy Unpacked in San Francisco and said the S26 Ultra has one standout feature 'Samsung's rivals can't match'.

"The Galaxy S26 Ultra has had a massive speed upgrade, comes in a range of new colours and gets some smarter AI features, but the one update everyone is talking about is its Privacy Display. This very clever screen can now stop prying eyes from glancing at your texts or having a sneaky peek when you punch in your password.

"It's all made possible by technology that allows the screen's pixels to move dynamically. This keeps the display visible when you look at it straight on, but it appears dim when viewed from the side by anyone around you.

"I've been lucky enough to have had the S26 Ultra in my hands since it launched last month during Samsung's Unpacked event and there's no doubt that the Privacy Display is a standout feature Samsung's rivals can't match. It's simple to turn it on or off via the Quick panel drop-down menu, and you can even customise it to only blank out certain apps, messages or just your lockscreen password."

Nevertheless, David also noted some potential downsides of the Privacy Display feature, saying: "It's certainly useful, but, having thoroughly tested it, there's no way I would have this function switched on permanently. The moment the Privacy Display is activated, Samsung's dazzling 6.9" AMOLED screen instantly looks muted and dull due to the loss of some pixels in order to make the angled viewing possible.

"It almost feels like you have a device from 10 years ago and it makes the whole visual experience look much less premium. Of course, Samsung doesn't force you to switch it on, and there are many scenarios where it could be really useful.

"There's also nothing else on the market quite like it, and those wanting some privacy currently need to add a special screen protector to their devices that can't be turned off unless entirely permanently removed."

David hailed Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra as an 'incredible device', saying: "The Galaxy S26 Ultra is an incredible device that I would happily recommend to anyone looking for a super-premium Android flagship. It's blisteringly fast, gets that clever screen, long battery life, cracking cameras and neat S Pen inside its shell.

"Just be aware that its headline Privacy Display upgrade does have its flaws, it's not radically different from the S25 Ultra, and it will cost you more than ever to buy."

Samsung's Galaxy S26 series is available to pre-order at Sky Mobile, Three, EE, Samsung and Amazon.
