MAHE: 'MAHETHON 2026' at Bengaluru campus on January 25

Bengaluru: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru Campus, is set to host its inaugural "MAHETHON 2026" on January 25. Organized in collaboration with Axis Bank, the run will take place at the MAHE Bengaluru Campus in Yelahanka, featuring an AIMS-certified route that meets international standards.
Designed to encourage both professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts, the event carries the theme "Run Green, Breathe Free" with the tagline "Bengaluru Runs for Earth," promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Dr. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of MAHE Bengaluru, stated, "MAHETHON 2026 is more than just a run; it is a movement. We see this as a bridge connecting the academic community with the vibrant spirit of Bengaluru." He also announced that the 8th edition of the "Manipal Marathon" will be held on February 8, 2026, at KMC Greens, Manipal.

Dr. Raghavendra Prabhu P., Additional Registrar of MAHE Bengaluru, added that the event is a celebration of community unity and health, prioritizing a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Race Categories
The marathon features categories tailored for different age groups and fitness levels:
• Half Marathon (21.1 km): For experienced runners.
• 10 km Run & 10 km Forces Run: Open to the general public, police, and defense personnel.
• 5 km Run: For fitness enthusiasts.
• 3 km Fun Run: For children and casual runners.
