Man held for sexual assault of Class XII girl in Chennai

Chennai: A 45-year-old man was arrested for sexually abusing a Class XII student near Thiruporur.

Police said the accused, Vinoth Kumar of Mambakkam, who runs an electrical shop, misbehaved with the victim when her parents were at work.

The child, who was upset over this, complained to her parents. They lodged a complaint with Mamallapuram AWPS.

Police registered a case and arrested Vinoth. He was remanded in judicial custody. TNN
