Man kills woman, dumpsbody in neighbour's houseafter 30 hrs in Shastri Ngr

Jaipur: A 36-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for the brutal murder of a 52-year-old woman. Her body was dumped in a neighbour's yard after keeping it hidden in his home for over 30 hours.

The accused, identified as Jitendra Singh, invited the victim, Babita Sharma, for a meeting to his residence in Subash Colony, under Shastri Nagar police station limits, Sunday evening.

A dispute over money between the two escalated into a violent altercation and murder at the house the same evening, police said. During the fracas, Singh allegedly pushed Sharma against a wall and attacked her with a sharp weapon, resulting in grave head and other injuries that claimed her life instantly.

In the panic following the fatal fight, the man attempted to conceal his crime. "Seeing the body lying in a pool of blood, Singh panicked," said DCP (North) Karan Sharma.
