Meghan Markle's latest post promoting her As Ever stock for Valentine's Day raised eyebrows, with some fans criticising her choice of props. The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand made a new post on its official Instagram account featuring two new promotional photos for the strawberry and the raspberry spreads.

The picture with the strawberry spread featured various props like a red silk clutch with an "M" initial, a spoon, a bottle of perfume, a strawberry on a saucer and one red leather glove. The picture with the raspberry spread showed a pair of gold earrings, a raspberry red leather bag, a colour-matching notebook with the brand's bookmark, a lipstick, the brand's limited edition dark chocolate with raspberry and a single raspberry on another saucer.

The post featured the message: "Which one are you: Strawberry or Raspberry? Place your order today to receive by Valentine's Day."

Fans were confused about the bizarre product assortment and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on X: "A completely gaudy display of thrift store ru****h. S****y lighting. S****y props. Is that a nail clipper by the chocolate bar? WT* am I looking at? She uses her connection to royalty to try to push her merch, but it simply looks like a trailer park attempt to look classy."

Another one commented: "This isn't a lifestyle brand, it's a mood board panic spiral. She's selling a vibe she found at 2 a.m. on Pinterest. If the product were strong, she wouldn't need the props doing all the work. When the jam won't sell, distract them with leather gloves and vibes. Pathetic!"

A third one said: "This is so strange. I'm a retired Chief Marketing Officer of a $Billion company and I'm just scratching my head wondering WT* is the message here?"

A fourth one added: "Presentation like a last minute high school art project thrown together due morning after being out all night drinking after home [rugby emoji] game."

A fifth one opined: "This is really pathetic and s****d."

A sixth one then said: " It's c**p too. It's aesthetically c**p. There are a million 'amateur' accounts on Instagram that do better than this. How can her styling always be this bad? Surely it's on purpose for some reason?"

Others were more keen on the aesthetic approach, with one fan writing on Instagram: "All of this looks amazing!!"

A second one added: "Lovely."
