NDA netas slam Tejashwi over remarks on Bihar
Patna: LJP (Ram Vilas) chief and Union minister Chirag Paswan and other NDA functionaries on Thursday attacked leader of opposition in Bihar assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav “for maligning his own state for the sake of electoral gains”.
Referring to Yadav’s comments during electioneering in Kerala on Wednesday, Paswan said at Patna airport on Thursday the RJD leader travels to other states claiming Bihar is the poorest in the country, but he should also explain who was responsible for keeping the state impoverished.

Commenting on Yadav, BJP leader and Union minister Giriraj Singh said, “There is a cliché used in Bihar villages that ‘appan biyah nahi, Surdas ke bartuhari’ (not getting himself married but mediating for others). The people of Bihar showed him a mirror and now he is trying to become an international leader,” he said.
Yadav is seeking votes for his party’s three candidates in the Vadakara, Kuthuparamba and Kalpetta constituencies as part of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala.
The JD(U) also hit back at Yadav’s statement. Minister Shrawan Kumar termed it an insult to Bihar and its 140 million people. “During the RJD’s 15-year rule, Bihar was identified with scams and kidnappings, whereas CM Nitish Kumar has steered the state onto the path of development, law and order, and communal harmony over the last 20 years,” he said.
Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) national president Santosh Kumar Suman said Yadav’s remarks regarding Bihar are the result of a negative and irresponsible political mindset. He said Bihar is forging a new identity by making continuous progress in education, roads, healthcare and law and order.
Suman alleged the persistent political failures of Yadav have left him distressed and frustrated.
