Nurse killed in three-car crash on way to work
The Irish nurse who died in a three-vehicle collision whilst travelling to work on Friday evening has been pictured. Áine O'Reilly, who was in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, in Co Limerick at approximately 11.10pm.
The Irish Mirror reports that she was driving to Limerick's out-of-hours GP service Shannondoc where she was employed when the fatal accident occurred. She was the only person in the car at the time. Áine's funeral will be held at St. John the Baptist Church Nicker on Wednesday morning before being buried at St. Columba's cemetery Pallasgreen.
An RIP notice read: "Áine O'Reilly (Grove House, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick), died tragically following a Road Traffic Accident on February 13th 2026.
"Sadly missed by her heartbroken parents Eugene and Ann, brothers Eoin, James and Conor, sister-in-law Aisling, nephew Dáire, aunts, uncles, relatives and a wide circle of friends."
A man in his 40s, who was in the second vehicle, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to University Hospital Limerick.

The third driver fled from the scene of the collision but abandoned their vehicle.
The N24 between R505 and L1132 was temporarily closed to enable Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to conduct a technical examination of the scene, but has since reopened.
In a Sunday update, police expressed their gratitude to the public for their "assistance," and stated they "are following a definite line of inquiry".
