The now-viral moment was shared on Instagram by Mihir Gahukar with the caption, “We got locked in our own balcony at 3 am, so we did this.” And what they did left the internet in splits.

Stuck outside while one friend’s parents slept peacefully inside, the trio had no way to unlock the door or wake anyone up. Instead of panicking, they got creative. Their solution? Placing an order on Blinkit.

The video shows one of them calmly explaining the situation to a Blinkit delivery agent over the phone. When the rider arrived, the friends guided him step by step, how to use the spare key, unlock the door, and quietly enter the house without causing a stir.

Moments later, the plan worked. The agent opened the door and walked towards the balcony. Spotting their unlikely saviour, Gahukar and his friend burst into laughter, relieved and clearly amused by the sheer madness of it all.

Speaking to an agency, Gahukar confirmed the incident happened around 3 am and said quick thinking saved them from spending the night outdoors.

The comments section quickly became part of the fun. One user joked, “Imagine your parents woke up to see him entering the house.” Blinkit also joined the banter, writing, “This can only happen in Pune.”

Others shared similar stories, including one user who once asked a Blinkit rider to knock repeatedly just to wake her husband. Another detail that won hearts? “Huge Respect for blinkit boy he removed the shoes before entering.”
